Can I finish the course just by logging 120 hours?
The work minimum and competence evidence are different checks.
Why are hours only one part?
CHCCCS040 requires at least 120 hours of direct support work in a relevant organisation and support for at least three people. Assessment also requires evidence of competence. A completed timesheet alone does not settle every requirement.
How do you check progress?
Ask your assessor to separate hours completed from evidence still needed. CHCCCS031 has its own simulation and workplace requirements. The minimum is not an extra 120 hours for each stream; ask how approved work meets the selected units.
