Can I take Individual Support without a named stream?
A valid mixed elective package can lead to the general award.
What must a general package include?
A general Individual Support award still follows the national elective rules. At least three electives must come from Group A or B, with the remaining choices drawn from A, B or C. The choices must support a valid work outcome.
What should the provider explain?
Ask why its mix suits your goal and whether it meets a named specialisation. A general award is not permission to assume that every Ageing or Disability stream unit has been covered.
What should you compare?
- At least three A/B units
- remaining choices
- job relevance
What remains unconfirmed?
Not yet confirmed: whether the offered mix fits your aim.
What can you do next?
Map all six electives before enrolment.
