Can a provider offer any six electives it wants?
The national groups constrain the choices.
What are the limits on choice?
The package contains six electives, not six unrestricted choices. At least three come from Group A or B; the remaining units come from A, B or C. Choices must support a valid work outcome.
How can you check a proposed mix?
Request the six unit codes and the group for each. If you want a named stream, check its full three-unit group, or both groups for the dual stream. Ask whether advertised extras sit outside the award.
What should you compare?
- Group labels
- six-unit count
- vocational fit
What remains unconfirmed?
Not yet confirmed: whether advertised extras count.
What can you do next?
Compare the advertised list to the register.
